Dr. Brent Morris retired in 2012 after a 34-year career in law enforcement, serving at the Federal, County, and City levels. While serving as a Commander for the Ventura County Sheriff鈥檚 Department, Brent managed several large divisions including: The Forensic Sciences Laboratory, The Todd Road Jail, and East County Patrol. Brent earned his Doctor of Education degree, in Educational Psychology from USC in May of 2013; a Master鈥檚 degree in Public Administration from California State University, Northridge in 2001, and a Master鈥檚 Degree in Leadership from USC in 2009. Brent earned his Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from the University of La Verne in 1980. Brent has taught Leadership to graduate students in the MPPA program at California Lutheran University since 2012, Criminal Justice to undergraduates at Ventura College since 2015, and cadets at the Ventura County Criminal Justice Training Center for over ten years.
